Manchester United training match gets interesting as Team Bruno takes on Team Pogba ahead of their Spurs bout
Man utd Star, Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba were kept on opposing sides in Manchester United’s latest intra-squad match ahead of the Premier League restart.
At Carrington on Tuesday The United squad lined up against each other after a planned friendly with Championship side Stoke was called off at the last minute.
It was later confirmed the match was cancelled after Potters boss Michael O’Neill tested positive for Covid-19.
Pogba, fit for the season restart against Tottenham on June 19, lined up alongside Marcus Rashford, Odion Ighalo, Nemanja Matic, Brandon WIlliams, Diogo Dalot, Jesse Lingard, Mason Greenwood and Harry Maguire, with the United centre-half posting a picture of the group on Instagram Stories alongside the caption ‘winning team’.
Fernandes meanwhile made up the numbers playing in United’s away strip with Fred, Scott McTominay and Luke Shaw among those alongside him.
Marcus Rashford after recovering from a back injury, he is set to to have a key role in United’s run in and is on course for his best goal scoring season with the club having netted 19 times in all competitions this term.
